Personal Statement

Adam loves tutoring and making a difference. He has a wide range of experiences in the education field and a strong desire to help others learn. He is able to teach both higher level math and reading in an effective manner, and as an experienced tutor and textbook editor, he knows exactly what to expect in many subject areas.

He is currently looking for students who wish to improve their ACT, SAT, or GRE scores, or who wish to gain a greater understanding of European, World, or United States history. He has helped students achieve gains in their ACT scores, typically between 3 and 7 points (cumulative) and he has experience tutoring for the SAT and GRE over many years. He is also currently tutoring geometry, algebra, and reading, and has a teaching endorsement for physics and social studies.

Regarding his approach, he has had success relating to students over the years, and tries to get to know a bit about their hobbies and interests. Establishing trust is key, and he tries to treat all people with respect. He is able to discuss a fairly wide range of topics with some ability, and enjoys speaking with students of all backgrounds.
