Gary in an alumni of Summit High School and Connecticut College where he earned his BA in Mathematics and certifications in elementary and math education. Gary has been tutoring since he was 13, which led him to his path of becoming a teacher. He prides himself on finding the underlying factors that individual students struggle on rather then having them just try to memorize procedural understanding. That’s why when tutoring, Gary will always find the best strategies for the individual child rather than a one fits all approach. During tutoring and classroom teaching, Gary encourages his students to think logically as well as outside the box when approaching problems. He finds ways to teach the application of the mathematics in order to make the material more concrete for the students.
