Jamie is an energetic and motivating instructor. She likes to engage her students using a variety of mediums and enjoys empowering them to be curious and make discoveries with their learning. Jamie also develops close relationships with her students that extend beyond the subject covered in a tutoring session. Building a personable relationship with each student allows for growth and development as a student and results in more confidence, which is something Jamie strives for each of her students to become- confident in their classes. Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Arts in Spanish from Middlebury College, and a Master of Science in Linguistics- Spanish and Second Language Acquisition from Georgetown University. While she was pursuing her graduate studies at Georgetown, she taught Spanish in the undergraduate programs at both Georgetown and George Washington University. Her experience with teaching at the collegiate level has helped her college preparatory instruction at a nationally ranked high school in northern NJ, since she has first-hand experience with the rigorous expectations that universities hold. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys running, being outdoors, trying new cuisines, and traveling.
