Personal Statement
Vraj is an educator with a passion for guiding students throughout their academic journey. Having a B.A. in Psychology from Temple University, Vraj has been tutoring elementary to college-level students in a variety of subjects, including SAT preparation, for the past eight years. Starting off at Kumon, Vraj not only helped students attain the grades they wanted in their courses, but also piqued their interest in the subjects they were learning. Furthermore, during Vraj’s time as a STEM Tutor at Temple University, he helped more than 400+ students achieve their academic goals and taught incoming tutors the importance of catering each session to a student’s needs. Vraj excels in his ability to simplify difficult concepts and form a collaborative environment in the classroom. By breaking down complicated topics into a manageable form, Vraj is able to help students overcome their individual weaknesses. In sessions, he encourages students to ask questions in order to address any of their misconceptions. Outside of tutoring, Vraj enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and traveling around the world.
