Personal Statement
Stephanie is currently a teacher in the New York City public schools. She graduated from New York University with a Bachelors in Childhood/Special Education and a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). For 7 summers, she has had the joy of teaching English to the refugee community in Eastern Europe. Living abroad was a transformative experience that grew her love for teaching. Stephanie has taught various students of different ages and subject areas. She takes the time to build relationships with her students and create a welcoming environment. In her teaching, her lessons are individualized and meet the specific needs of her students.
