Personal Statement

Aashita’s love for teaching stems from a lifelong love of learning. For the past six years, she has had the pleasure of helping students on campus and outside of campus in various subjects. Her Masters in Education gave her the opportunity to teach students of all ages, from 5 years old to 50 years old. This is truly the best job she has ever had. As a biochemist, she specializes in tutoring Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics for success in classes and on the MCAT, SAT, SAT Subject Tests, GRE, GRE Subject Tests, and GED. Whether working on high school algebra, biological mechanisms, or vocabulary, one of her goals for each session is to keep the student challenged, but not overwhelmed. Her lessons are specific to the student’s needs and learning abilities. For people who are visual learners, she teaches with graphs, charts, pictures, etc. For people who learn best through mnemonics, she teaches with catchy rhymes and popular song rhythms. She believes each student has a different way of learning and the best teachers are those who can accommodate for those needs. She looks forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies!
