What makes Embrace different from other Tutoring companies?
Embrace specializes in one-to-one and small group prep academic tutoring for the ISEE/SSAT, ACT/SAT and other individualized tutoring for core academic subjects primarily for elementary and college students. We then match students (or programs) with talented, experienced tutors, all of whom are professional teachers with subject matter expertise in their respective fields.

What kind of credentials do the tutors have?
Embrace Educators are experienced tutors with a record of proven success. All tutors have over 1,000+ hours of teaching experience and many have their Masters/ PhDs. 
More importantly, Embrace Educators provide an individualized, welcoming approach when working with students and do their best to keep the sessions fun and engaging.

What services are offered?
Embrace Tutoring offers a) elite private tutoring in all academic subjects and test prep b) admission guidance for college counseling, high school, and graduate level studies.

What additional features are involved in Embrace Private Tutoring Packages?
At Embrace, we believe in a holistic approach. All students receive access to ongoing academic support, diagnostic tests, and content emails. Families participating in Silver or Gold Packages will receive additional discounts, ability to participate in review sessions, and 1 hour college counseling consult. Families are encouraged to visit our services page for more detailed information.

What are the steps for enrolling with Embrace?
After speaking with an Embrace Academic Advisor, parents will select a private tutoring package and complete a Student Agreement Form. Families will then be connected with their Embrace Tutor(s) to begin scheduling sessions appropriately. 
The family’s Academic Advisor will routinely check in to ensure student progress and academic enrichment.

What are the costs of each of the services?

How do I pay for lessons and what forms of payment are accepted?
Embrace accepts check, credit card, and Zelle payments. Hours are recorded within the Embrace online platform where families and students are notified of their remaining hours. Parents also receive ongoing progress reports and weekly notifications regarding the lessons and how many hours are remaining within the system.

If I have questions regarding my Embrace account, who should I contact?
All questions specific to the family’s hours, login, payment, etc. are able to be sent to info@embracetutoring.com. Please allow for 24 hours and one of our team members will gladly get back to you.

Where do tutoring sessions typically occur?
Families will be able to coordinate with the tutors to work out a mutually accommodating schedule and preferred meeting location (in-person or online).

How are sessions scheduled?
Tutors and families have the ability to schedule sessions directly. Sessions are able to be scheduled through an online Embrace Calendar system.

How long are sessions?
The length of the private tutoring sessions depends on the student’s needs and curriculum. Typically, most sessions are 1 hour to 90 minutes.

Is it possible to do a trial session?
Yes, it is certainly possible to do an initial (paid) trial session to ensure the right fit between the student and tutor. After the initial trial session, families then enroll in an Embrace Package specific to the student’s needs.

What happens during the private tutoring sessions?
During the session, tutors will provide a thorough overview of the content and strategies associated with the subject matter. The overall goal is to always build the student’s confidence and ensure they are engaged with the material.

What are the average results for students participating in Embrace private tutoring sessions?
Embrace students typically improve in their academic courses by a full letter grade. With respect to ACT and SAT, students will improve by an average of 5 points (ACT) and 200+ points (SAT). The average increase depends on the initial score, frequency of sessions, and student engagement throughout.

Additional Support

1. PROCTORED DIAGNOSTICS: Students are welcome to participate in proctored, online diagnostics provided by Embrace Learning Support Staff. A full analysis and question by question breakdown are provided to students participating in Embrace Private Tutoring Packages, and results are typically sent to the families within 48 hours. 

2. COLLEGE READINESS: Students and families will receive ongoing support, checklists, and access to webinars relating to college counseling news and announcements. For specific questions relating to college and career planning, families are welcome to contact info@embracetutoring.com.

3. ACADEMIC RESOURCES: Students will have access to the Embrace Tutoring YouTube Channel and Social Media Pages containing hundreds of additional videos and practice problems.
