Personal Statement
Alex is a professional Korean-American Test prep (SAT/ACT) and foreign languages instructor who has taught for more than 16 years. He has a very rich cultural background having grown up in the US and lived in Korea, France, Japan and China. His major in college was in international business and attended college both in France (University of Toulouse) and Japan (as an exchange student). Alex has made a solid career teaching students SAT/ACT/TOEFL/AP and counseling them through schoolwork, test prep and college preparation. Alex's standard for education is very high and is confident that you will be satisfied with the quality of education that he provides as well as the increase in scores that your child will be able to directly see. Numerous students that he has taught have achieved 1500+ scores on the SAT in a short period of time including a significant number of 1550+ scores and one perfect 1600. This goes along with ACT results with the majority of students getting a 35 or 36. His philosophy is very simple: if you sincerely do your best and follow his guidelines, you are sure to achieve any academic goal you want to reach. He strongly believes that the combination of class attendance and individual work at home is essential. However, self-motivation and a pro-active attitude to study as well as healthy communication are the core elements for success.
