Anjana
Personal Statement
Anjana attended Anna University, India on full academic scholarship after graduating as valedictorian from her high school. She graduated with a Bachelors of Information Technology degree. Anjana worked in the industry for a year before she realized her passion was teaching. She then attended Anna University again for her Masters of Computer Science. Anjana worked as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science for two years before moving to Seattle where she began her career in the Pacific Northwest as a long term substitute teacher for kids with special needs. She went on to be CTE (SNAPProgramming) teacher and taught coding - Scratch, Python, and Java after school programs. Anjana also has extensive experience as a STEM (Science,Technology, Mathematics and Engineering) instructor at different community colleges in the Pacific Northwest. Anjana believes in a "Not one size fits all" teaching approach. She customizes her teaching style according to the student's needs and is very flexible. While not at work, Anjana enjoys spending time with family, surfing the web, swimming, listening to music, and dancing.
