Ben
Personal Statement
Ben is a graduate of The College of William & Mary, majoring in Global Studies with a concentration in Russian and Post-Soviet Studies and minoring in history. He holds a Master of Letters in War Studies from the University of Glasgow. Ben has two years of experience working with students from grades 1 through 12 as a substitute teacher. In 2019, he completed a course at the International Language Institute in Washington, DC to receive Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification. His experiences as a substitute teacher and TESOL teacher have convinced him of the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes the subject relatable to students.
