Personal Statement

In his journey as an educator, Brendan has taught everything from advanced college courses to elementary school math, in settings varying from SAT Learning Centers to Covid Learning Pods. Working with so many different types of students with varied goals and struggles has made Brendan realize how complicated tutoring can be in its execution and yet how simple it can be at its core. The one thing that unites every student is that they are unique and the heart of his philosophy is engaging with those unique minds in order to help them face their specific challenges. Brendan's greatest joy is finally finding an approach that works, finally seeing it click for his tutee and finally watching personal obstacles give way to personal potential.
