Personal Statement

Charles received his degree in Civil Engineering as a Distinguished Graduate and accepted a teaching fellowship in Mechanical Engineering, which began his interest in education. He has taught classes and tutored for the SAT, ACT, GRE and GMAT, among other topics, for over 20 years. His most recent standardized test score (GMAT 780) put him in the 99th percentile. He believes that it is critical to communicate with students in language that they understand, rather than complicated jargon, and it is best to work with and refine techniques that students already use, rather than forcing them to adopt an “ideal” approach that they may not be comfortable with.
