Christine
Personal Statement
Chris is a PhD student and a Fontaine Fellow in the City and Regional Planning department at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Design. Prior to this position, she worked at several colleges and universities in Student Affairs, and for many supplemental and non-profit education programs where she was an award winning educator and curriculum director. She approaches education with an individualistic and connective approach to both engage her students in the content and ensure retention and real world applicability. She understands that some subjects are challenging, and that each person thinks and learns differently. Knowing this, it is important to connect the subject matter to what each student is passionate about- an excellent tactic for tackling exam preparation and technical subjects like math and science.
