Personal Statement
David is a Science, Mathematics and English tutor and mentor who takes a personal interest in his students. After a career as a research physicist and engineer, he transitioned to working with students on all levels, primarily High School and College. He has thirteen years of experience helping students succeed in their course work, research papers, test taking, college acceptance and preparation for SAT, ACT, AP and GRE tests. Being flexible in his teaching style, he will provide basic instruction when needed and patiently foster the steady development of comprehension and skill in the subject matter. When appropriate, he will challenge students and provide interesting material to augment their studies. He patiently encourages his students until a significant improvement materializes, usually after about two or three weeks of instruction for a new student. Both for short-term support and long-term meaningful academic relationships, students have continually expressed appreciation to him for his help in their advancement and success.
