Personal Statement

Grace brings an enthusiastic spirit to the teaching of English and History at all levels. With thirty years of teaching experience, including twenty years at an elite private school in Northern NJ, Grace has taught all grades in high school plus 8th grade. She aims to foster discussion as a means to develop critical analytical skills.  Grace has a BA in Philosophy from Trinity University and a Masters in Religion from Yale University. As an English teacher, she has taught AP English Language and AP English Literature and as a History teacher, she has taught US, World (Ancient and Modern), and European history -- both AP and honors. Students find Grace to be warm and approachable and enjoy her love of the material that she covers. They also appreciate the clear manner in which she teaches. Grace is dedicated to helping students succeed as they prepare for different exams and ultimately college applications.
