Personal Statement

Hillary believes in providing students with individualized attention and tailors her teaching methods to suit different student needs. She creates a safe space for self-expression (especially with withdraw or under-motivated students), and give encouragement with earned praise. Hillary draws upon her many years as a museum educator to make history and other subjects more relatable for students using story-telling and material-culture based pedagogical methods.
