Ilya
Personal Statement
Ilya has worked in the test prep industry for over 15 years. He started tutoring shortly after graduating from Yale and continued tutoring through graduate school and as part of his professional life. His extensive experience allows him to break standardized test questions down into specific question types and provide strategies for each type. He believes that every standardized test (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT) is a known quantity, and, thus, it is essential to master individual elements, rather than preparing in a general way. For Ilya, tutoring is a way to help students reach their academic and admissions goals. He also believes that any academic challenge, whether a test or a difficult class, is an opportunity to grow as a thinker.
