Jessica
Personal Statement
Jessica has had 16+ years of experience working with middle and high school-aged students. She has taught middle school World History, United States History, and English, and she has coached basketball and volleyball for both boys and girls teams at the high school and middle school level. Jessica specializes in historical research, analysis, and writing, and fostering critical thinking, empathy, and a deep understanding of historical concepts. As a tutor, she supports students with analytical research and writing as well as long-term projects in the humanities. She also has experience providing executive functioning skills coaching to students who have ADHD and other diagnoses, in addition to expertise in helping student-athletes manage their academic workload during their respective sports seasons.
