Kevin
Personal Statement
Kevin is currently a graduate student in philosophy, finishing this coming January 2021 with a focus on modal logic. He is genuinely passionate about teaching others and seeing them achieve their goals. A firm believer that hard work always pays off, Kevin tries to instill this same idea to his students. Kevin has been teaching for several years at different tutoring centers, specializing on standard tests like the ISEE, SSAT, SAT, ACT, and GRE; however, he has also taught high school mathematics, reading, writing, and some college introductory courses in psychology and philosophy. He has seen many of his students increase their scores on such standardized tests markedly, with some achieving above the 95th percentile. Kevin's tutoring method focuses on a student's particular weakness(es), striving, every session, to improve a little more measurably; moreover, revisiting the fundamentals until the student has a clear understanding and practical mastery of them.
