Personal Statement
Kimberly is a dedicated, enthusiastic educator with over twenty-five years of experience in middle and high school English classrooms--where she twice earned the title Teacher of the Year. She obtained her BA at Boston College and her Masters at Rutgers University. In 2015, Drew University awarded Kim a Doctor of Letters degree with a concentration in Writing; her dissertation was a full-length historical fiction novel, passed with distinction, that is currently optioned by a screenwriter. She has edited fiction and non-fiction books, short stories, and articles and especially loves the challenge of helping rising seniors craft their college essays and improve their standardized test scores so they can achieve their dreams. One of Kim's strengths is building excellent rapport with students, which makes it easy for them to set and attain their short and long term goals and gain confidence in any area of the language arts.
