Personal Statement

As a college counselor with over 15 years of experience, Kristina truly understands the importance of finding the right fit. She prides herself on taking the time to get to know her students to ensure they have the right schools on their list of prospective colleges and universities. In addition, her experiences visiting a wide array of colleges and universities throughout the country provides her with the unique insight needed to better assist families as they embark on and progress through the college selection process. Kristina offers a compassionate, yet strategic approach while working with a student and their family. She prides herself on being detail-oriented, thorough, and patient when collaborating with students as they complete college applications, write and revise essays, design resumes, and prepare for upcoming interviews. Her students have been offered admission to a variety of schools including Columbia University, Villanova University, NYU, Bowdoin College, Tulane University, Boston College, Davidson College, Washington University, Harvard University, UC Berkeley, as well as a number of other top tier colleges and elite universities. Kristina graduated with high honors from the College of Saint Elizabeth, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Secondary Education. In addition, she holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Montclair State University and completed post-graduate work through Rutgers University. Kristina is currently working towards the completion of a Doctorate of Arts & Letters at Drew University, where she is the recipient of a teacher’s scholarship. As a lover of the arts, she spends her free time reading, writing, listening to music, and volunteering within her local community for a variety of causes. She is also fluent in Spanish and has traveled to more than fifteen different countries; something she looks forward to doing again in the future. Kristina’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and approachability will make navigating the complex world of college admissions a positive experience.
