Personal Statement

As an educator, Laura is dedicated to having her students understand math with a deep foundation of mathematical concepts. Laura received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Mathematics Education and her Masters in Educational Psychology. She has had the opportunity to teach students from numerous countries in diverse settings. Having taught students inside and outside the classroom, from Algebra 1 to Calculus and Statistics, she has seen many of her learners thrive and succeed. Laura engages her students in her classroom through small groups, math games, activities, and peer tutoring. Making her students comfortable and confident in their math abilities is something that Laura strives for all of her students to experience.
