Mark
Personal Statement
Mark has taught in some capacity for most of his life. He was a tennis instructor at day camps along with acting as a a camp counselor teaching guitar and magic tricks to children aged 6-18 at Independent Lake Camp. As a secondary science teacher, Mark takes great pride in getting students to enjoy physics and chemistry, and mathematics. More than ever, scientific literacy and mathematical analysis are essential components of our life and these courses help mold our students to become well-rounded citizens. While it is technically his job to teach physics and chemistry, it is also his goal to challenge students to observe the world with a critical eye and process data. In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, seeing friends, staying painfully local to the NY Giants, singing, composing music, and taking fantasy football a bit too seriously.
