Personal Statement

Nikola earned her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from University of Houston and her B.A. in Psychology from Syracuse University. She has a passion for education and enjoys working with students to help them gain confidence in their skills and abilities. Nikola has experience tutoring high school and college students in a variety of subjects with a large focus on math, psychology, and writing/reading comprehension. When working with students, she serves as a mentor and inspires a passion for learning that extends far beyond tutoring sessions. Nikola brings a blend of expertise and relatability to a tutoring experience. She strives to create a supportive, engaging environment where students not only grasp challenging concepts but also discover the joy of mastering them. Her teaching philosophy revolves around tailoring sessions to individual learning styles and fostering a deep understanding of subjects.
