Personal Statement

Rebekah has a B.S in Elementary Education, with a minor in Special Education. She has taught high school mathematics and has specialized in SAT preparation. Her favorite and more recent teaching posts have been Co-teaching at a high school in Bucks County, PA where her students engage in creative, critical, and divergent thinking. Rebekah's strengths lie in her ability to explain the subject matter well and with enthusiasm. She can give solid, real life examples and relate the material to her students’ lives. She asks probing questions to allow students to come to a solution on their own and reinforces the idea that making errors is the normal part of the learning process. She is hard-working, dedicated, willing to learn, and able to bring learning to life. Outside of teaching Rebekah enjoys being outdoors, and watching TV with her dog and cat.
