Personal Statement
Sara has a master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and has been teaching ESL on college campuses for many years. She spent a rewarding year in Japan helping high school and junior high school students feel more confident in speaking English. Sara has tutored junior high school students, high school students, and adults in all levels of writing and ESL as well as preparing advanced students for the CATW (CUNY Assessment Test in Writing) and the TOEFL. She is an expert in grammar, and she has a passion for English and for helping students improve their writing skills and confidence. Sara believes that each student is unique and deserves to be treated that way.
