Personal Statement

Shahri holds a BA in Computer Science from Harvard University and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She spent her early years in France, where she became fluent in French and developed a lifelong passion for learning.

After returning to the U.S., she skipped a grade and attended the Loomis Chaffee School. Shahri later built a successful career on Wall Street and in insurance brokerage before pursuing her passion for education.

She is currently working toward her teaching certification in mathematics and business finance and has been substitute teaching K–12 students in the Montclair and Livingston school districts. Shahri specializes in math and French and is dedicated to helping students build confidence, master challenging concepts, and succeed academically.

She is excited to support students and families at Embrace Tutoring.
