Personal Statement

Spencer is a recent college graduate, holding a B.A. from the Providence College Liberal Arts Honors Program. In his time at Providence, Spencer tutored his college peers and mentored high school seniors from his sophomore year onwards. Despite his recent graduation, Spencer looks forward to teaching in ESL classrooms in Argentina during his 2025 Fulbright Grant beginning in mid-February. Spencer prides himself on using his recent progression through the high school, college, and post-graduate application cycles as a tool to give prospective students the most current information that he can, while connecting with the youthful zest of his students. As an inquisitive person by nature, Spencer uses questions to hone in on deepening writing and understanding, allowing for comprehensive advances to be made. Both hardworking and curious, Spencer uses dedication and consistency to make meaningful connections with students. In his free time, Spencer is preparing for his venture to Argentina, by reading, teaching, and learning in Spanish in all mediums.
